Our Church has a wide range of groups that happen during the week. some of them are on a weekly basis and others from week to week. There are my ways you can be involved in the church and this is one way to keep connected. We welcome the community in to our groups. This is a great place to be involved with the people of the church and the people around our area.
Our Sunday services are interactive with the children in our congregation. The children will enjoy a range of activities in the service and during kids' time. We cover a range of stories and events that happen in the Bible, allowing the children to explore their own interests and ask questions. We have all ages of children in the congregation and the children love to have new people to play and interact with. We have movie days for the children of Opawa during the school holidays. We would love to welcome new children and their families into the Lords family at Opawa.

The group likes to study for around 40min and then fellowship and enjoy time together in, Prayer, and Praise. The meeting will wrap up at 11.30 am. you can feel free to come and go at any time, stay for the 40min study then leave, or join for the fellowship. We hope to have you join us. The Coffee group meets approximately every 6 weeks on a Monday evening @ The Valley Inn. It is a great catch-up time to meet fellow church members and spend time with the church family outside the church setting. There is no shortage of lively chatter and lots of laughs. We love having new faces join the group. Though things are on hold currently, we anticipate resuming our get-togethers once we are back to level 1. The Ukelele Group focuses on learning to play the ukelele for fun. A few ladies of the Church have joined together to teach this special instrument. The group includes both children and adults. We like to do a variety of songs from Te Reo Maori, worship, and other tunes. Anyone is welcome to join our group, so bring your ukulele and join in the fun. We meet after Church every second Sunday.
